LET'S HIT THE TRAILS TOGETHER!

Riding with a partner is safer, can build confidence in you and/or your horse and let't be real-it's more fun to go with a friend!

What we offer:

Horses do not want to go around and around in circles in an arena, and frankly, who does? While there is great benefit to learning and training in a round pen and arena-everyone is happier on a trail ride! Mandy spent years in the Rocky Mountains guiding people on horse back through all sorts of terrain and the unexpected. As a licensed paramedic she can teach you basic first aid and vet care for trail mishaps, but most importantly-how to avoid them!

Things we offer (if it isn't listed-just ask!): These are examples, and not a full list

  • Trail etiquette-do you know who has the right of way?

  • Safety for you and your horse-prevention is key, but what if...

  • Hauling-that's right, we can pick you up and take you home

  • Basic first aid from minor abrasions and cuts to bee stings and broken bones (again, we prefer prevention, but knowledge is power)

  • What to pack in your saddle bags-we have some you can borrow if you don't have them, and yes, everyone needs saddle bags! We can provide already prepared bags for basic trail needs as well

  • Preparing your horse for the trail-is your horse able to handle the unexpected? Does he have a stop and speed control? Can he handle the saddle bags and the noise they make?

  • Preparing you for the trail-can you get on and off your horse easily, if not, we can teach you how to improvise on the trail. Do you handle the weather, if not, we can be fair weather riders as well and short rides are fun, too!

  • Weather watching-knowing your forecast is important, and what exactly are we looking for

  • How to get through water and other obstacles-if your horse needs training before hand, we can help with that

  • Trail confidence-our goal is for you to feel comfortable enough on the trail to ride out knowing how to handle the unknown and trusting yourself and your equine partner for an enjoyable day. This may take several rides or a year of riding to gain the confidence-we are here for you

  • Let us be your guide
